Mike Taylor

Mike established HBI as one of the founders over 35 years ago. Since then as President and CEO, he has led HBI to be the premiere contract furniture dealer in Alberta. 

HBI's core values are built upon Mike's passion for customer service. His constant goal is to provide the best service to our clients, centered around the guiding principles of honesty, trust and communication. By following this philosophy, he has built client relationships of over 35 years.

With the support of a talented and dedicated team, Mike has led HBI to adapt to changes in the marketplace and the industry. This has allowed him to keep the company on the forefront of innovation, while skillfully navigating the turbulence of the local landscape over three decades. 

He sits on the board of HPDA, NAIOP, CCA, IFMA, and is a sponsor of Calgary Economic Development. Mike loves to stay active, so in his spare time you will find him golfing or going for a run. He also enjoys music, particularly blues and The Beatles.

Kaitlin Imbrogno

With over 15 years of experience in project and operational accounting and management, Kaitlin is a dedicated financial leader in the construction industry. As Controller at HBI, she oversees financial management and reporting, driving operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.

Since joining HBI, Kaitlin has leveraged her expertise in accounting management and operational analytics to support corporate goals. Her primary focus is on financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to enhance performance and empower informed business decisions.

Kaitlin is committed to implementing best practices and standardizing financial policies across all orders, delivering insightful financial reports that aid in strategic planning and execution.

Stefanie Smith

Stefanie joined HBI in 2012 and is our Vice President of Operations. She is a Certified Project Manager with over 20 years of experience managing commercial construction and tenant improvement projects. 

Stefanie uses her experience to prepare and execute timelines, anticipate and prevent project challenges, and ensure a polished and seamless project delivery. Her tireless work ethic and analytical approach make her an invaluable leader at HBI. 

In her spare time, you can find her baking delicious treats, golfing or on the lake water skiing.

Jessica MacIsaac

Jessica has been with HBI over 15 years. She has transitioned through multiple departments, allowing her to obtain a well-rounded knowledge of HBI and the contract furniture industry. She now excels as the Director of Design.

Jessica’s affable personality and streamlined work style makes her a great asset to any project team. Her experience and ability to develop solutions makes her a natural lead for our design team. This allows all our projects to be completed with confidence and style.

Her in-depth knowledge of product offerings, industry innovations, and procurement processes enables her to provide beautiful, functional designs that best serve each project.
